The Seeds

This article is to explore the scriptures that are associated with the two seeds. The seed that contains the knowledge of good and the seed that contains the knowledge of evil. I have been prompted by the Ruach (Spirit) to do this because every time I am studying with people on whatever subject, and we get to a part of the study that seeds come up 90% of the people involved begin to disagree with what I present. What I present is simply scripture with two to three witnesses. It does not seem to make any difference how many times we read through the scriptures that deal with seeds they cannot grasp the plain meanings. I am not sure why. It is obvious that we are all influenced by preconceived ideas from the doctrines of our past. I personally did not have doctrines in my early years. But when my oldest son was considering going to the Baptist Theological Seminar, he wanted me to attend a church that he and a large number of students from the Seminary were attending. It was a small Baptist Church that was growing very fast.

At this time, I had read the entire Bible from cover to cover a few times. Each time I would read it I would dig into the things that I had skimmed in the previous readings that were too much at first. Chronologies for instance. I was just trying to get a grip on who was who to begin with. I will never forget the first time I went completely through the Bible book by book in the order that they were in the NISV version. I thought, this is not what I thought it was according to the impressions I had from my early years in the Church of Christ. I am mentioning this because, even though I did not know any church doctrine I had some preconceived ideas from my time in church. As I would read, I would catch myself attempting to try to justify those ideas (confirmation bias). The instant I first realized I was doing this I stopped and said to myself, Nothing I think makes one bit of difference to Elohim (God), but the literal meaning of His Words does make a difference. So, I quit doing that and began to look for the two to three witnesses that are required to establish a matter in scripture (2 Cor. 13:1 & Duet. 17:6 & 19:15). These three witnesses establish this matter.

Now back to the growing church. I began to attend regularly. There were a lot of gatherings that were casual times for everyone to get to know each other. The students would always group up and discuss things they were learning. I would not participate but would go home and research the things they were saying that I had never heard of before. Things like pre-trib, mid-trib or post-trib. The longer I did this the more I thought they were at times trying to put a square peg in a round hole. The first time I was with the Preacher and some of the church heads and they were talking about the trinity, I ask what that meant. I thought the answer was the most ridiculous thing I ever heard, and I realized it contradicted the literal level of understanding according to what Yahushua (Jesus) said about His relationship with His Father in Heaven (John Chapters 14 & 17, 1 Cor. 15:20-28). Then I began a search for a church that was not doing the same. At that time there were around thirty-seven thousand denominations that claimed to be christian. I gave up on finding a church that studied the Word. I was single and figured I would just go to a church that had a large singles group to have a more wholesome group of friends to hang out with.

It was not until I married that I began to dig again. We began to find that all scripture leads us to Torah, which has been an awesome journey that we are still on (Matt. 5:17-19).

Something that is pertinent to what we are talking about in this article is understanding hermeneutics. Hermeneutics is a word that means; the branch of knowledge that deals with interpretation, especially of the Bible or literary texts.

The Greco-Roman hermeneutics include words like logic. Logic is opening the door to innumerable understandings because logic is defined by what you think is logical. Logic would always be influenced by your preconceived beliefs. At times I see translators wrestling with something being either literal or allegorical, when it is actually both.

The Hebrew hermeneutics are, that scripture runs on four levels and runs on all four all the time. The Hebrew levels are called the PaRDeS. This is an acronym for the following: Peshat, which means the literal, straight or direct meaning of what is said. Remez means hints or the deep (hidden or symbolic) meanings just beyond the literal. Derash, which means to seek (comparative) as given through similar occurrences. Sod (pronounced with a long O as in “lore”), is the secret (mystery) or esoteric (mystical meaning), as given through inspiration or revelation.

There is no comparison when it comes to a complete understanding of scriptures between the Greco-Roman hermeneutics and the Hebrew hermeneutics mainly because all the bible was written by Hebrews in a middle Eastern mindset.

There is a rule in Hebrew hermeneutics that none of the last three levels of understanding can change the Pashat (literal) meaning of what is being said. If that were allowed anyone could create things that would be totally out of context by literalizing the allegorical and allegorizing the literal.

To give an example with a little history. John the apostle discipled personally Polycarp, who in turn discipled Irenaeus. Irenaeus said in his writings, “everything taught by the apostles has been lost because Origen of Alexandria was so popular with his allegorical interpretations of scriptures. When you allegorize the literal and literalize the allegorical you can make the verses say whatever you want. There are a great number of doctrines that stem from doing this.

With all this said my point is if we do not let the literal define all other levels of understanding the meanings are limitless. Doctrines that divide the brethren that are based on esoteric ideas that change the literal meaning of a verse or word. This has always led to division. Our Father in Heaven is not about dividing His family. The perfect example is Proverbs 6:16 as follows.

Pro 6:16  These six matters YHWH hates, and seven are an abomination to Him:
Pro 6:17  A proud look, A lying tongue, and hands shedding innocent blood,
Pro 6:18  A heart devising wicked schemes, Feet quick to run to evil,
Pro 6:19  A false witness breathing out lies, And one who causes strife among brothers.

Notice that the first five encompass the whole body, head to feet, at this point the person or angelic being is totally consumed (sold to evil). Then the last two say a false witness breathing out lies, and one who causes strife among brothers. In other words, someone lying (a false witness) who causes division among brothers.

The very thing that began satan’s fall was a proud look (Isaiah Chapter 14). These are the attributes of the adversary.

I have been listening to debates between brothers when both are totally convinced, they are right. I have recited Proverbs 6:16 to them and they both liked it, because they both think the other one is wrong and therefore is causing the division. What I have noticed is they both have confirmation bias. They are not going to scripture to see what it says but to prove what they already believe. Something I will say here that has always been proved out in my experience is, if a person goes to scripture to prove something they have already chosen to accept, they will always prove it in their mind.

I asked our Father what was the thing that would separate the witness that was truly using the word and the one that was abusing the Word by allegorizing the literal. The answer was instant, and it was, the one who is saying this esoteric understanding (which most always has to rely on allegories) is salvational. There is no human or other creature in the heavens or on the earth that can judge salvation excepting Yahushua and our Father in Heaven. I might ask, who stands accusing the brethren day and night before our Father in Heaven? The adversary, satan. To take it upon ourselves to judge salvation is to be doing the same. It is not our job. Even Yahushua said “I did not come to judge but to save (John 3:17, John 8:15 & 12:47). That is exactly what we are supposed to be doing till He returns to Judge. We certainly do not want to be satan’s advocates, accusing them day and night before Elohim. We are to be a light to the world through the attributes of Gal. 5:22-23 and share Torah with those that are drawn to that light. Even though the whole Torah was set on the right side of the Ark to be a witness against us, we can never know why a person is doing whatever they are doing. Only Eloah and Yahushua know the heart (our place of reasoning) . We have an obligation to share Torah with people who are not following Torah, and to go to those in the family of YHWH when we see them doing something out of Torah, but we are not able to know their heart (reasoning) to know why they are acting the way they do. We certainly can know if they are living out of Torah because the whole Torah was written down by Moshe and placed on the right side of the ark to be a witness against us, but we cannot judge salvation.

This accusing is exactly what Job’s friends were doing to Job. When YHWH  showed up, he talked with Job a bit then He said to Eliphaz that everything My servant Job said about me was correct and everything you and your friends said was wrong. Now go and get seven bullocks and seven he goats and offer them before my servant Job and he will pray for you, and I will not punish you. After Job’s friends did as they were told, he forgave them and prayed for them. Job’s friends were saying that he was receiving the wages of a sinner, just repent and be healed. Job said that was not true. If you are interested in delving into the book of Job, I wrote an article on him that I would be glad to share, but what we are looking at now is the how the seeds work, which is necessary to understand all the parables. Ref. Mar 4:13  And He said to them, “Do you not understand this parable? How then shall you understand all the parables?

At this point you may be saying, what does all this have to do with seeds. The preceding is building an understanding as to how we can come to a scriptural truth. Something that is necessary, is to be open to being taught by the Word. We have to step back from all preconceived understandings unless we have two to three witnesses in scripture to establish that matter. Then pursue scripture like a scientist discovering new things. As already said, if you go to scripture to prove something you already believe, you will always prove it. This is called doctrinal bias, or as said on page 2, confirmation bias.

One more thing that pertains to the way we perceive and evaluate scripture  is as follows.

Isa 46:9  “Remember the former events of old, for I am El, and there is no one else – Elohim, and there is no one like Me,
Isa 46:10  declaring the end from the beginning, and from of old that which has not yet been done, saying, ‘My counsel does stand, and all My delight I do,’
Isa 48:3  “I have declared the former events from the beginning, and they went forth from My mouth, and I made you hear them. Suddenly I acted, and they came to be.

It may seem hard to believe but we can see the end from the beginning. So, the first thing we need to do is take a very close look at how seeds are used in beginning of Genesis. The Hebrew understanding of how to determine the meaning of a word in scripture is to find the first mention of that word in Torah. So, it is pertinent for us to get a clear understanding of how seeds are used in the beginning. At the same time, we can look at how esoteric theories that rely on allegorizing the literal and literalizing the allegorical have and are causing division in the brethren. Esoteric means: something that is intended for or likely to be understood by only a small number of people with a specialized knowledge or interest. Keep in mind the knowledge of men is folly to Elohim. (1 Cor. 3:19)

To begin with let’s take a look at what happened with Qayin (Cain) and Hevel (Abel). First thing to consider is the Book of Yovelim (Jubilees) says that Hevel was born seven years after Qayin. Most people are not familiar with the Book of Yovelim. It was part of the original cannon. It was not included in the cannon after the reformation because of Luther and Calvin the reformers, did not want Yovelim (Jubilees), or the rest of the Apocrypha included in the Bible because it did not agree with their doctrines. In defense of the Apocrypha and the Book of Enoch also, I want to mention that Enoch is the most mentioned Book in the entire Bible and both Yovelim and Enoch are found in the Dead Sea Scrolls more than many of the other books in the Bible. These two books are very important to our understanding of the entire purpose of humanity. I wrote an article called “The Reign of Elohim in the Heavens and on the Earth” that goes into detail about this but for now my focus is strictly on the seed understandings.

Most think that Qayin and Hevel were twins with Qayin coming out first.

The story of Qayin and Hevel continues after their birth in the story of them making offerings. This story is interesting in that they are following a Torah command to bring the very best of their first fruits to YHWH. This is the beginning of seeing that the Torah, which means teachings, has always existed since humanity began.

The story continues with Qayin and Hevel bringing offerings. Beginning with Gen. 4:3, And it came to be in the course of time, that Qayin brought an offering of the fruit of the ground to YHWH. Gen. 4:4 And Hevel also brought of the first-born of the flock and its fat. Qayin’s offering was not looked on with favor, but Hevel’s was acceptable. First question is why was Qayin’s offering not accepted? I will offer what can be seen in the Hebrew that is not seen in English. Hevel offered a lamb. At this point I need to mention Mal. 3:6 says, I am YHWH and I do not change. What this means that any and everything He says or commands, the principle of that statement or commandment has always existed. The Torah command that came later is, the first born of humans and the domesticated animals belonged to Elohim, also the first of your produce (grains). So, on the surface it seems that both offerings were in line with that command. But in the Hebrew, we can see something that is not obvious in the English in Hevel’s offering. We will scrutinize his offering now. He slaughtered his first-born innocent lamb (that sounds familiar doesn’t it-remember we were told the end from the beginning). He then would have poured the innocent blood on the earth and covered it with dirt as became a Torah command later. Notice Adam and Chava (Eve) were not cursed but were punished, the ground was cursed. The natural result of Adam’s deliberately violating Elohim’s command to not eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil was the generational curse of the second death, which is eternal separation from our Father in Heaven, and we received the seed of the knowledge of evil in our hearts. A biblical principle (something derived from multiple occurrences in scriptures) is that atonement is achieved through innocent blood.

So, when Hevel poured the innocent blood of the lamb on the earth and covered it, he was atoning for the cursed state of the ground. Then the skin would be a temporary covering for him, as he would be following what he knew YHWH  did for his parents when they lost their covering (in Hebrew covering is Kafor, in English it is atonement). Adam and Chava had lost their atonement (they were no longer covered-protected) and needed a temporary atonement for their corrupted blood which was achieved by YHWH offering of innocent blood. Hevel was following what he learned from his earthly father and his Heavenly Father. Then the Hebrew says something interesting “Hevel’s minkaw (offering) was looked on with favor”. Minkaw (H ) in Strong’s Concordance means; gift, tribute, offering, present, oblation, sacrifice, meat offering or a grain offering. Minkaw is used as a gift offering when Yakkov (Jacob) was sending gifts from his flock to Esaw when he was returning to the land (Genesis Chapters 32 & 33). But minkaw as used in Leviticus Chapter 2 refers to grain offerings. This is at the beginning of Leviticus where all the offering are being described and commanded. Minkaw has to be translated as meat or grain according to context. What we can see here is Hevel understood the need for atonement for the ground that was cursed (by deliberate sin) and for himself before a grain offering could be accepted. Even if Hevel only brought of the first born of his flock the appearance of minkaw in the text would certainly be drawing us to the same understanding. If you do not atone for what is in a cursed state, the offering that came from the cursed earth cannot be an acceptable offering. The lamb was innocent and not under a curse of any kind. The grain coming from a cursed ground would naturally be cursed also. The language in Gen. 4:4 says Hevel also brought of the first born of the flock. This seems to be saying that he brought a grain offering and also of the flock. The use of the word minkaw in Leviticus as grain seems again to point to Hevel brought a grain offering and also of the flock.

Now we can see why Qayin’s offering was not looked on with favor, he did not see a need for atonement. That would indicate he thought he could atone for himself or did not need to be atoned for at all. The adversary’s fall began with pride. This seems to be why YHWH said sin was crouching at his door and his desire is for you.

Now we are going to look into a word that is used for rule. In Hebrew it is mashal. It appears when Abraham is sending his servant that he (Abraham) has given rule over his whole house (all that he has). What is interesting is when we look at what we know about this servant we will see that all he does is just like what his Master Abraham has done. He would naturally rule Abraham’s house as he had seen Abraham do, therefore being an imager of Abraham. Just as Adam and Chava were to be imagers of Elohim because they were made to rule for Him in His image on the earth. The next appearance of Mashal is referring to the relationship between Yoseph and Pharoah, the same context. Yahushua was an imager of His Father as can be seen in multiple places in the things He said about His relationship with His Father. I wrote an article named “Is Yahushua Elohim (God)” that explains how He was the perfect image of His Father. We must be imagers of our Father in Heaven if we want Him to be able to flow through us.

We needed to understand the definition of Mashal to be able to understand what is said to Qayin as follows.

Gen 4:6  And YHWH said to Qayin, “Why are you downcast? And why is your face fallen?
Gen 4:7  “Is it not if you do good, you are to be accepted? And if you do not do good, towards the door is a sin. He is lying, and towards you is his desire, and you rule (Mashal) over him.

What is being said to Qayin is, “you must be an imager of Me, or you will let the liar in your door”. In other words, you will rule (Mashal) over him if you stay in the Image of Elohim. Sin (the image of evil by the adversary), his desire is that you image him instead of imaging Elohim. We know what happens next. Qayin shed the innocent blood of Hevel by crushing his head then burying him with his innocent blood. Crushing Hevel’s head is exactly what was predicted the seed of the woman would do to the serpent. So, Qayin let the liar in by choosing to be in the image of evil (the adversary) instead of Elohim. He chose to be the mashal of satan instead of being the mashal of Elohim which was the desire of satan for Qayin. At this point I will ask the question, could Qayin rule over satan by being in the image of Elohim if his father was satan? The answer is obviously no! Adam and Chava were created to image Elohim, and for Qayin to have the potential to rule over satan he would have to be the son of Adam. The adversary does not have the to be in the image of Elohim.

I am now going to back up to the fall of Adam and Chava and what is literally said. Gen 3:6  And the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, and she took of its fruit and ate. And she also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. This is the first witness of what happened. Gen 3:12  And the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate”. This is the second witness.  Gen 3:13  And YHWH Elohim said to the woman, “What is this you have done?” And the woman said, “The nachash deceived me, and I ate”. This is the third witness that both of them ate of the fruit. No esoteric understanding can defeat the literal understanding that all that happened was they ate the forbidden fruit therefore disobeying the command given to Adam, which he shared with Chava. In doing so they internalized both seeds, which would mean that they received the knowledge of evil. They already had the knowledge of good. We will see later in this article that both seeds then dwelt in the heart or the place within them where the reasoning takes place.

Adam was completely responsible because he was the one that was told by YHWH to not eat of the fruit of this tree before Chava was created. Adam should have driven the serpent out of the garden the minute he saw him talking with Chava. He basically left her uncovered. Here are the commands to Adam:

Gen 2:15  And YHWH Elohim took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to work it and to guard it.
Gen 2:16  And YHWH Elohim commanded the man, saying, “Eat of every tree of the garden,
Gen 2:17  but do not eat of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, for in the day that you eat of it you shall certainly die.”

Something we can take away from this conversation is that Adam was not created to know evil. This is a very important understanding that we see in the beginning which effects everything the descendants of Adam will do because of them having the knowledge of evil.

Any other understanding, esoteric or otherwise, of what happened would be to steer your mind away from the magnitude of what Adam did when he knowingly disobeyed the command of his Father in Heaven. People say Chava had sex with satan (the Hebrew word for adversary in English) and the offspring of that intimate relationship was Cain. As we discussed on page 4 it is not possible for Cain to be able to rule over satan through imaging Elohim if he were the physical offspring of satan. The definition of intimate from Oxford Languages is, closely acquainted; familiar, close such as in intimate friends. Similar: private and personal, sexual. What we can see in this definition is it has levels that go from a close acquaintance to the marital level of becoming one through sex. The intimacy that Chava and Adam shared with satan was they all knowingly disobeyed YHWH baShamayim, and the intimacy ended there. Also, they now shared the knowledge of evil as well as the knowledge of good. They, from this point forward had to discern every thought to know what to do. The only potential to know evil before the fall was to ingest the fruit with two seeds.

Another change that occurred as a consequence was now Adam would rule (mashal) over Chava. These are the first mentions of the word mashal in the scriptures. So, now Adam was to rule over not only all the animals and people in the world but now his wife also. Adam from that point forward had to return to the image of YHWH to be able to rule for YHWH in His Image. Keep in mind that he was told to tend the garden and to protect it. So now the male descendants of Adam have to protect their wives from being deceived by the angels, and Adam is to protect Chava from being deceived again. Paul uses this understanding when talking about head coverings as follows. 1Co 11:7  For a man indeed should not cover his head, since he is the likeness and esteem of Elohim, but woman is the esteem of man.

1Co 11:8  For man is not from woman, but woman from man.
1Co 11:9  For man also was not created for the woman, but woman for the man.
1Co 11:10  Because of this the woman ought to have authority on her head, because of the messengers (angels).

The messenger who deceived Chava, according to 1 Enoch 69:6-7 was Gadreel. He is listed in Chapter 69 as one of the Leaders of the Fallen Angels who had become subjects of ha satan (the adversary) according to 1 Enoch 54:6.

Bear in mind this type of rule is like the order of the first-born male who is to be a priest, sovereign and judge to his family. Each one of these attributes is servitude. The Priest is to teach Elohim’s laws and commands, as a sovereign he is to protect them and as a judge to judge all matters in the family that arise according to Torah (Teachings of YHWH).

Even after Chava ate of the fruit Adam could have redeemed her as her kinsman redeemer because his blood would have still been uncorrupted and he was her closest relative. Also, as her husband he could have annulled the covenant she made when he first heard of it. Basically, it was Adam’s job to tend and guard the garden and teach all that YHWH had told him to Chava in order to protect her. Chava’s job was to guard Adam on all sides. Chava was deceived in her strength. She must have thought about how much better she could care for Adam if she had the knowledge of Elohim. Ignorance, accident and deception (the tools of satan) are the sins that the daily offerings were for. And these types of sins are also what Yahushua intercedes for continually (1 John 2:1). Adam stepped out of the image of YHWH and stepped into the image of the adversary. To be an adversary towards YHWH is to contradict what you know YHWH has said by disobeying Him knowingly.

Now I want to show something that seems to me is being overlooked by those that say Chava had sex with the serpent. Read the following carefully.

Joh 8:33  They answered Him, “We are the seed of Abraham, and have been servants to no one at any time. How do you say, ‘You shall become free’?”
Joh 8:34  Yahushua answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, everyone doing sin is a servant of sin.
Joh 8:35  “And the servant does not stay in the house forever – a son stays forever.
Joh 8:36  “If, then, the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.
Joh 8:37  I know that you are the seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill Me, because My Word has no place in you.
Joh 8:38  “I speak what I have seen with My Father, and you do what you have heard from your father.”
Joh 8:39  They answered and said to Him, “Abraham is our father.”c Yahushua said to them, “If you were Abraham’s children, you would do the works of Abraham. (Footnote: cSee footnote Mat_3:9, Rom_9:8.)
Joh 8:40  “But now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has spoken to you the truth which I heard from Elohim. Abraham did not do this.
Joh 8:41  “You do the works of your father.” Then they said to Him, “We were not born of whoring, we have one Father: Elohim.”
Joh 8:42  Yahushua said to them, “If Elohim were your Father, you would love Me, for I came forth from Elohim, and am here. For I have not come of Myself, but He sent Me.
Joh 8:43  “Why do you not know what I say? Because you are unable to hear My Word.
Joh 8:44  “You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you wish to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and has not stood in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks the lie, he speaks of his own, for he is a liar and the father of it.
Joh 8:45  “And because I speak the truth, you do not believe Me.
Joh 8:46  “Who of you proves Me wrong concerning sin? And if I speak the truth, why do you not believe Me?
Joh 8:47  “He who is of Elohim hears the Words of Elohim, therefore you do not hear because you are not of Elohim.”

What is next is very important to understanding spiritual warfare. Our instruction for this internal spiritual warfare is found in Yakkov (James) 4:7 as follows. Submit yourselves to Elohim. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Further described in Romans 12:1 as follows. I call upon you, therefore, brothers, through the compassion of Elohim, to present your bodies a living offering, set apart, well pleasing to Elohim, your reasonable worship. In other words, die to self-daily and live in the Spirit and that is your reasonable worship. When we accomplish this, we can have Shalom and wait for Him to direct our every step.

Take note what Yahushua says to the Pharisees in verse 37 above “I know you are the seed of Abraham”. This is important to understand what else is said.

Adam did not live out one day after he sinned, because with YHWH a day is a thousand years and a thousand years is as a day (Psalms 90:4). Adam died at 930 years, so he did not reach one day. This fact proved satan a liar and a murder. What Yahushua is saying to them is you want to murder me because I have spoken to you what I have seen with My Father (verse 38). Now you seek to kill Me, a Man who has spoken truth to you which I heard from Elohim (verse 40). What Yahushua says to them in verse 44, is “you are of your father the devil and the desires of your father you wish to do. In other words, they have chosen to image their father, and this is what makes them sons of the devil. Yahushua has already said that physically they are the seeds of Abraham but spiritually the are the seeds of the devil because of their works. This is the exact situation that we saw in Gen. 4 with Qayin.

This explains the spiritual war fare the descendants of Abraham have been in since the fall of Adam. Even though we are redeemed from death by our belief that Yahushua was the Son of Eloah and came in the flesh, we have not been completely delivered from all evil till the knowledge of evil is removed from us (Matt. 13:24-43). This happens when satan and his followers are cast out of heaven and cannot return because there is no longer a place for them there (Rev. 12:7-10). Notice in verse 10 of Rev. 12 it says “now have come the deliverance and power and the reign of our Elohim and the authority of His Messiah, for the accuser of our brothers, who accused them before our Elohim day and knight, has been thrown down.

All the descendants of Adam have to decide who they are going to Image, YHWH or satan( the devil in Greek).

Now we need to examine this tree more closely beginning with a biblical principle. Our Father in heaven says in Mal. 3:6 For I am YHWH and I do not change, as said on page 4. Then in Yaakov (James) 1:17 Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of Lights, with there is no change or shadow of turning. Next is Hebrews 6:17  In this way Elohim, resolving to show even more clearly to the heirs of promise the unchangeableness of His purpose, confirmed it by an oath,

Heb 6:18  so that by two unchangeable matters in which it is impossible for Elohim to lie, we might have strong encouragement, we who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the expectation set before us,
Heb 6:19  which we have as an anchor of the life, both safe and firm, and entering into that within the veil,
Heb 6:20  where Yahushua has entered as a forerunner for us, having become High Priest forever according to the order of Malkitsadeq (Psalms 110:4).

If YHWH, Eloah, cannot change then anything that He has said or commanded us at any time is true from the beginning of creation of the heavens and earth to the end of this age. This is true of Yahushua also as follows.

Joh 7:16  Yahushua answered them and said, “My teaching is not Mine, but His who sent Me.b (Footnote : says this in seven places in the Book of John: Joh_3:34, Joh_7:16, Joh_8:28, Joh_8:40, Joh_12:49, Joh_14:24, Joh_17:8. See also Deu_18:15-20).

Again, this means that anything YHWH or Yahushua says is the same from the creation of the heavens and earth till the end of the age when the earth is destroyed by fire and the heavens are no more as follows.

2Pe 3:10  But the day of YHWH shall come as a thief in the night (note this is not the same day and hour mentioned in 1 Thes. 5:2), in which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with intense heat, and the earth and the works that are in it shall be burned up.
2Pe 3:11  Seeing all these are to be destroyed in this way, what kind of people ought you to be in set-apart behavior and reverence,
2Pe 3:12  looking for and hastening the coming of the day of Elohim, through which the heavens shall be destroyed, being set on fire, and the elements melt with intense heat! At this time the earth is cleansed for the new Yarushalayim (Jerusalem) to come down.

Now back to the seeds. Diverse seeds in the same fruit are forbidden in Torah (The Teachings of YHWH). Diverse seeds cannot be planted in the same field (Lev. 19:19). The second witness Duet. 22:9 Do not sow your vineyard with different kinds of seed, lest the yield of the seed which you have sown, and the fruit of your vineyard be defiled. Consider that we all came from the dust of the earth (afar adamah), this is where the seeds are planted. The seed of YHWH and Yahushua is sown in our hearts as we will see, and the seed of satan is also.

Now we need to look at the seed parables to see completely what is going on in them, because Yahushua said that if we do not understand them, we will not be able to understand any of the parables.

Read the seed parables in Matthew Chapter 13, Mark Chapter 4 and Luke Chapter 8. Mark 4:14 and Luke 8:11 which tell us the seed being sown is the Word of Elohim. In Mark 4:13 Yahushua tells His disciples if they do not understand the seed parables how will they understand a l the parables. I mentioned this verse earlier along with the understanding that YHWH has revealed to us the end from the beginning. Then Mark 4:14 says the sower sows the Word and Luke 8:11 says the seed is the Word. We had to go to the beginning to see what was said about seeds and now we are going to get some clarification in the latter parts of scripture. So, the good seed that was sowed was the Word of Elohim, and it is being sown in the afar adamah (dust of the earth that Adam was created from). It is very obvious when Yahushua explains the parables that the seed is being sown in the offspring of Adam and when Yahushua speaks of the field where He plants His seed (the Word) that field is the offspring of Adam also. That Word being planted is Truth which is the knowledge of good. The Truth according to Psalms 119: 142 & 151 is Torah. So, now we will examine how the knowledge of evil entered the fruit in the garden.

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnele among the wheat and went away. Footnote: eDarnel looks like wheat but is poisonous to man and beast.

Note it says the reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field. Then we see that his enemy came and sowed his poisonous seed among the good seed while men slept.

Now let’s look back at  Matt. 13:19.

Mat 13:19  “When anyone hears the word of the reign, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside.

Notice here the seeds are being sown in men’s hearts, this is extremely important to understand. So, the bad seeds are also being sown in men’s hearts. The heart is symbolic of the place where men’s reasoning resides.

If Elohim cannot put two seeds in the same fruit, then He did not put the seed of the knowledge of evil in that fruit. He forbade Adam from eating of that fruit because Adam was not created to know evil. What Elohim gave Adam for food is as follows.

Gen 1:29  And Elohim said, “See, I have given you every plant that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed, to you it is for food,” but He withheld the tree of knowledge of good and evil because it had a poison seed in it that an adversary, YHWH’s enemy, came and sowed while Adam slept. Adam’s job as said above was to work and guard the garden, yet he was allowing the adversary to be there and to reason with his wife. Basically, Adam was not keeping the adversary out, nor was he guarding his wife from deception. When you examine Chava’s dialog with the enemy, she examined the tree of the knowledge of good and evil she saw that it was pleasant to look at and good for food. Gen 2:9  And out of the ground YHWH Elohim made every tree grow that is pleasant to the look upon, and good for food. So, all the adversaries had to do is convince her that eating the fruit was good to gain knowledge and would make her like Elohim. She reasoned that being like Elohim was a good thing and she would be a better helper for Adam.

When Chava ingested the fruit with the seeds in it, and then gave it to Adam and He did the same. they instantly recognized that their covering was gone because they now knew both good and evil and would have to decern between the two before every action they would take. When YHWH came looking for them, They were afraid, not of Him but because they were naked.

So, now looking back at Matt. 13:19 we can see that after eating the fruit they had both seeds in their hearts where their reasoning resides.

I want to stop here a minute and reiterate that the seeds are in the seed of Adam’s off spring’s hearts. That means they will both grow together in us until the wheat harvest when that which grew from darnel (tare) seeds is pulled from us and thrown in the fire. Here are the scriptures that tell us these things.

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnel among the wheat and went away. Footnote: Darnel looks like wheat but is poisonous to man and beast.
Mat 13:26  “And when the blade sprouted and bore fruit, then the darnel also appeared.
Mat 13:27  “And the servants of the master of the house came and said to him, ‘Master, did you not sow good seed in your field? From where then does it have the darnel?’
Mat 13:28  “And he said to them, ‘A man, an enemy did this.’ And the servants said to him, ‘Do you wish then, that we go and gather them up?’
Mat 13:29  “But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the darnel you also uproot the wheat with them.
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I shall say to the reapers, “First gather the darnel and bind them in bundles to burn them but gather the wheat into my granary.”

I will stop here to say something pertaining to the idea many have, that Cain was the offspring of satan that was mentioned on page 5. The seed of the knowledge of evil was not sown in Chava’s womb, it was sown in the hearts of all the descendants of Adam. Once again, we can see that the literal meaning of what happened in the beginning is established in the rest of scripture. It is not that there is not an allegorical understanding but that the literal meaning cannot be changed by the allegorical understanding. Both plants grow in the progeny of Adam. What I have experienced as said above, when sharing the seed parables is, most people think that the wheat is a group of people that chose YHWH and Yahushua and the darnel (tare) plants being a separate group that chose satan. This is what I see 90% of the people think. As we will see as we read the seed parables, according to scripture both plants have grown in all the hearts (the place of your reasoning) progeny of Adam.

What we will look at now is Yahushua’s explanation of the parable.

The Purpose of the Parables

Mat 13:10  And the taught ones came and said to Him, “Why do You speak to them in parables?”
Mat 13:11  And He answering, said to them, “Because it has been given to you to know the secrets of the reign of the heavens,a but to them it has not been given.b (Footnotes: aMatthew uses the word “heaven(s)” as an euphemism for the Name or designation of the Father, while Mar_4:11 and Luk_8:10 use the Father’s Name/designation. bSee also Mar_4:33-34.)
Mat 13:12  “For whoever possesses, to him more shall be given, and he shall have overflowingly; but whoever does not possess, even what he possesses shall be taken away from him.c (Footnote: cCompare footnote at Luk_8:18.)
Mat 13:13  “Because of this I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.
Mat 13:14  “And in them the prophecy of Yeshayahu is completely filled, which says, ‘Hearing you shall hear and by no means understand, and seeing you shall see and by no means perceive,
Mat 13:15  for the heart (the reasoning) of this people has become thickened, and their ears are hard of hearing, and their eyes they have closed, lest they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, lest they should understand with their heart, and turn back, and I heal them.’ (Isa_6:9-10.)
Mat 13:16  “And blessed are your eyes because they see, and your ears because they hear,
Mat 13:17  for truly I say to you, that many prophets and righteous ones longed to see what you see, and did not see it, and to hear what you hear, and did not hear it.

If we see and hear and understand these parables, we inherit the blessings.

The Parable of the Sower Explained

Mat 13:18  “You, then, hear the parable of the Sower:
Mat 13:19  “When anyone hears the word of the reign, and does not understand it, then the wicked one comes and snatches away what was sown in his heart. This is that sown by the wayside.
Mat 13:20  “And that sown on rocky places, this is he who hears the word and immediately receives it with joy,
Mat 13:21  yet he has no root in himself, but is short-lived, and when pressure or persecution arises because of the word, immediately he stumbles.
Mat 13:22  “And that sown among the thorns is he who hears the word, and the worry of this age and the deceit of riches choke the word, and it becomes fruitless.d (Footnote: dLuk_21:34, 2Ti_3:4.)
Mat 13:23  “And that sown on the good soil is he who hears the word and understands it, who indeed bears fruit and yields – some a hundredfold, some sixty, some thirty.”

The Parable of the Weeds

Mat 13:24  Another parable He put before them, saying, “The reign of the heavens has become like a man who sowed good seed in his field,
Mat 13:25  but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed darnele among the wheat and went away. (Footnote: eDarnel looks like wheat but is poisonous to man and beast.)
Mat 13:30  Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I shall say to the reapers, “First gather the darnel and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my granary.” ’ ”

The Mustard Seed and the Leaven

Prophecy and Parables

Mat 13:34  Yahushua said all this to the crowds in parables, and He did not speak to them without a parable,
Mat 13:35  so that what was spoken by the prophet might be filled, saying, “I shall open My mouth in parables, I shall pour forth what has been hidden from the foundation of the world.” (Psa_78:2.)

The Parable of the Weeds Explained

Mat 13:36  Then, having sent the crowds away, Yahushua went into the house. And His taught ones came to Him, saying, “Explain to us the parable of the darnel of the field.”
Mat 13:37  And He answering, said to them, “He who is sowing the good seed is the Son of Aḏam,
Mat 13:38  and the field is the world. And the good seed, these are the sons of the reign, but the darnel are the sons of the wicked one,
Mat 13:39  and the enemy who sowed them is the devil. And the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the messengers.
Mat 13:40  “As the darnel, then, is gathered and burned in the fire, so it shall be at the end of this age.
Mat 13:41  The Son of Aḏam shall send out His messengers, and they shall gather out of His reignall the stumbling-blocks, and those doing lawlessness, (Zeph 1:3),
Mat 13:42  and shall throw them into the furnace of fire – there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.
Mat 13:43  “Then the righteoush shall shine forth as the sun in the reign of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear! (Footnote: h Psa_37:29, Psa_72:7, Psa_75:10, Psa_118:19-20, Psa_146:8, Mal_3:18, Rev_22:11.)

In verse 41 above we see a people group that is thrown in the fire with the plant that grew in us from the seed of the evil one. It is important to understand that both seeds grew into plants in us, one that was poison and one that would be put in YHWH’s granary (store house). The sins of ignorance, accident and deception grew a poison plant in us, but Yahushua has atoned for those sins. Those who deliberately and knowingly sin, therefore contradicting (hating) YHWH, chose completely to grow the seed the enemy planted. They are the stumbling blocks and lawless ones mentioned in Matt. 13:41 that go into the fire with the plant they grew.

If the plant that grew in us is removed and burned (Matt. 13:41), then we will no longer have the knowledge of evil in us. It is important for us to see when this happens in scripture to have a good understanding of the end times events. To delve deeper into this read the article called “Generational Curses”. I will show some detail of what happens when the knowledge of evil is removed because I want everyone to see what a joyous time that will be. Then read the article called The Day and The Hour.

Summary of this article

If satan had sex with Chava, she was the Queen of the world. The penalty for that in Torah is she would have to be burned to death. It is Torah. Once again, the literal says Adam knew Chava and she beget Cain. If the rational that Chava had sex with the serpent and that union produced Cain is based on an allegorical esoteric understanding that the trees are beings and eating the fruit was having sex, then Adam had sex with satan also. He, being King of the world would have been put to death also. They would have both been disqualified and put to death and Elohim would have had to start over. According to Torah a man lying with a man is forbidden. If Elohim does not change (Mal. 3:6) His rules were in the beginning, now and till the heavens and the earth are gone.

This entire concept is a smoke screen to take attention away from the fact that Adam knowingly disobeyed Elohim, causing the loss of eternal life (eternal separation from the Father and Son). Even though Chava ate of the fruit Adam could have atoned for her if he had not eaten of it. As her husband he could have annulled the covenant with death she had made on the day that he knew of it according to Torah. But instead, he took the fruit and he blamed Chava. Adam was to care for and guard the garden but instead he left the garden and his wife uncovered. We see later on Noach does the same thing and causes a horrible impact on future generations. Noach’s story is explained in an article named “Noach and Ham, What Happened”.
